Client: Gift, Jewelry, Stationary, Apparel and Accessories Retailer

Our client is a very successful retailer with over fifty stores in New England and the Mid-Atlantic states. We are currently looking to fill nine positions.

  1. Retail Store Managers, Boston area, Southern Connecticut and Northern New Jersey, $50,000+
    Your responsibilities will include overseeing the store and ensuring that its employees communicate the company's heritage and unique value proposition. You will direct store operations, schedule and assign employees, merchandise floor sets and drive the delivery of outstanding customer service. The ideal candidate will have 5 - 7 years of store management experience in a customer-oriented retail environment and a track record of delivering superior financial results.

  2. Director of Allocation and Planning, Western Boston suburb, $100,000 - 120,000+
    The key responsibilities of the Director of Allocation are to develop and lead a team in the execution of allocation and replenishment strategies to maximize return on investment. You will collect, evaluate, and analyze all relevant data for designated categories to ensure accurate quantity and timing for new and existing product flows into the stores. You will also develop merchandise assortment strategies and concepts, maintain proper inventory levels by store location, support new store openings, and recommend actions such as transfers, consolidations and markdowns to management. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years allocation and inventory management experience, with strong analytic and PC skills.

  3. Senior Buyer: Women's Apparel, Gift, Jewelry and Catalog, Western Boston suburb, $80,000 - 100,000+
    The merchandising department is seeking a highly motivated, experienced buyer with a passion for retail and an understanding of the latest trends. The Buyer will develop business strategies and seasonal assortment plans to maximize the development of the brand, as well as the sales and profits for a department or assigned area. You will also ensure timely and accurate ordering and delivery of all purchase orders. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years buying experience, strong analytical, negotiation, problem solving and PC skills and must be able to travel.

  4. Stationery Buyer, Western Boston suburb, $80,000 - 100,000+
    The merchandising department is seeking a highly motivated, experienced buyer to build a stationery and related products business. You must understand the latest trends in stationery, invitations, and paper products. The Buyer will develop business strategies and seasonal plans that enhance the client's brand and introduce well-known product brands into the new department. Your responsibilities will include financial forecasting and results, vendor relationships, and purchasing. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years buying experience, strong analytical, negotiation, problem solving and PC skills and must be able to travel.

  5. Store Design Manager, Western Boston suburb, $80,000 � 100,000+
    This position, which supports the Retail Store Development Team, is critical as our client anticipates rapid growth. You will review and confirm architectural surveys; produce drawings for new stores, expansions, relocations and remodels; maintain store floor plans; manage project documentation; and collaborate external design professionals. You will also be responsible for analyzing and improving all design processes. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design or Industrial Design; be proficient in AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Adobe Creative Suites; and have 3 - 5 years of relevant retail design experience.

  6. Director of Store Development, Western Boston suburb, $80,000 - 100,000+
    This position works closely with Store Operations, Marketing, E-commerce and members of the merchandising and buying offices to ensure that stores have what they need to be successful in driving profitable sales and creating the ultimate customer experience. The Director of Store Development is responsible for creating brand loyalty by providing store-level training, working with the executive team to determine monthly store sales goals, establishing company contest focus areas, and partnering with buyers to drive sales in key vendor departments. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years of retail experience in store and corporate sales development.

  7. Visual Director of Stores, Western Boston suburb, $80,000 - 100,000+
    This position oversees the Visual Merchandising function. You will develop the overall visual merchandising strategy, manage seasonal and monthly store planograms/displays in close collaboration with the Merchandising, Planning and Store Operations teams, and develop innovative merchandising and visual displays that support key business objectives and resonate with our client's target customers. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years of visual merchandising experience in retail stores.

  8. Merchandise Planner, Western Boston suburb, $50,000 - 70,000
    The merchandise planner is responsible for tracking inventory and bringing in new products based on customer needs. You will be a liaison between the marketplace and the marketing and buying departments, ensuring what the customer wants is available. Responsibilities include research, sales forecasting and tracking, employee training, inventory management, vendor coordination, and maintaining the visual aesthetic of the stores. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of retail merchandising experience.

  9. IT Project Manager, Western Boston suburb, $50,000 - 65,000
    We are looking for an aggressive IT Project Manager/Operator with retail experience. You will have a wide range of help-desk and troubleshooting responsibilities, for users at both the corporate headquarters and store locations, covering computer hardware, peripheral hardware (printers, copiers, faxes, scanners, etc.), software, Internet and network service, email and Intranet accounts, phones and phone service, network and Internet equipment, and telephone and network wiring. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree or Certification Program, 2+ years retail IT experience and will be proficient in Microsoft applications including Office and Outlook.

  10. Accounts Payable Specialist, Western Boston suburb, $40,000 - 50,000
    We are seeking a motivated and experienced Accounts Payable specialist to complete payments and control expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices. You will code invoices, handle all vendor correspondence, pay vendors and employee expenses, and maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting, vendor relationships, PC proficiency (Excel, Word, Great Plains), and data entry skills. This position is full time (40-45 hours) and offers career growth and development for the right candidate.
